UncategorizedAnother Question on the Mirror January 17, 2012Okay, I’m back with that other question I promised. My other concern with this mirror is the color. I really do love the finish that it had when I got it. Although it looks sort of gray in this picture, it’s actually royal and white dry-brushed together. I love the rustic finish it has. I really like it, but I can’t decide if it goes with the rest of our house. You guys know how I love my neutrals. But, in reading Julie’s post yesterday, I do like incorporating color in small doses with my neutrals. So, I’ve been sitting and staring at this mirror for a while and trying to decide if it can work. And then I remembered this image that I pinned a while ago and keep going back to it because I’m so drawn to it. I L-O-V-E this color palette. And when I think about my house, I have all of these colors here except the dark blue. I have lots of gray, lots of tan, lots of white. And remember this media table? I’m trying to incorporate more of this green into our home. I really like it and it’s the exact color from that inspiration image. Maybe I should add in some dark blue/peacock. What do y’all think? Could this mirror work? OR should I re-paint?

But painting it could be really fun (especially that beautiful midnight blue–swoon). I think it depends largely on whether it will be the only thing on that wall. If it is, you might want to paint it so it stands out more. If it’s not and you do a gallery wall, it might stand out too much from the other frames (unless that’s what you want). So basically … I wasn’t helpful at all. teehee Reply
