The White Buffalo Story Welcome, friends. I’m Lindsay, if we haven’t officially met. I’m so happy to have you here at the journal of our family’s story, The White Buffalo Styling Co. You may know that we love to renovate and have renovated and moved…A LOT. Well, there’s a story there, y’all. When my husband, Chris, and I got married seven years ago, we were drowning in college debt from our wonderful, but pricey private university education. We’re thankful it brought us together, but man, we were going to pay for it FOREVER. After being married for a short time, we fell into despair realizing that our family was going to be enslaved to that for the rest of our lives if nothing changed. And then, God started revealing tiny glimpses of the life He wanted us to lead. It was a life of freedom, of possibility…a life that was counter-cultural and set our souls on fire. But then the heaviness of our reality set in. That vision God gave us for our life wasn’t possible with the absolute mountain of debt squashing us. But as I’ve come to learn, God’s provision always meets and surpasses His calling for us and He was cooking up one unexpected and crazy adventure. He started revealing gifts and passions we didn’t know we had that bonded us, kindled sparks deep within, and led to the life He had for us. Fast forward to seven years later and the story He has written for us is indeed one of freedom and of infinite possibility and purpose…it’s the impossible story we dreamed of back in the beginning. I still can’t believe it. I created this video series of The White Buffalo Story because it’s too good not to be told. It’s the story of us at the bottom of a mountain of slavery where we couldn’t even see the first step, much less the top freedom-filled peak. Then, He revealed step by beautiful, hard step the path, restored hope in our hearts, and gave us a deeper, more purpose-filled vision for our family’s future than we could’ve ever dreamed up ourselves. This story is still being written and I’ll add videos to it as life happens, but for now, here are the first six chapters of Our Story. Thanks for checking out our story, friends! I’ll update it with new chapters as God continues to write it.
