UncategorizedPart 2 Chicago April 12, 2012I hope y’all have had a great Wednesday! The week is half over and the weekend is almost here. Hang in there! Here is the rest of our Chicago trip. We saw some great sights while we were there. This is the view from the Sears Tower, or Willis Tower, as I guess it’s called now. This is the Skydeck and here they have these glass enclosures that stick out from the top of the building. Yes, I mean that you are standing on clear glass on the 103rd floor, over 1,000 feet up in the air. You’ll notice that my feet aren’t on the glass floor. I was terrified to step out. Chris forced me to, but only for a minute. We also went to the John Hancock building. The views really were beautiful. I think this was my one of my favorite parts. Here was the view from the Planetarium. It looked back on the Chicago harbor. This was the street our hotel was on. It was this really beautiful residential street with great architecture and lots of pretty details. Here was one of my favorite houses. I love the architectural details and the window boxes. And probably my favorite thing we saw (yes, I know it’s weird this is my favorite) was this outdoor patio on a restaurant. I don’t even know the name of it because we just passed it on the street. I love the rustic wood tables and green tolix chairs. And in this picture, you can see the sectionals that it had. Each little area was separated by a fence and each had these sectionals and coffee tables. I wished we could’ve gone to this place. It looks so cozy. It was closed when we were in the area. We want to build a sectional like this for our deck. I can’t wait! Overall, we really had the best time together. It’s always fun to get away for a little bit and explore new things. After we got back from our trip, I finally got around to springing up our house a bit. I’ll have that for your tomorrow.
