UncategorizedAfter Five Months… September 21, 2011UPDATE: This room was featured on The Lettered Cottage. Take a look here. Thanks Layla and Kevin! We are so very flattered and grateful! *** It seems like forever ago that I posted about Chris’ favorite room in our house. In case you weren’t here then, here’s a quick recap. When we moved into our house, the master bathroom looked like this: Yes, pink countertops. A pink shower insert. So, needless to say, as soon as we moved in, we were ready to tackle this. It might’ve taken us forever to finish, but we finally did it! (Just a warning, there’s a lot of pictures here). Remember, I said our inspiration was white cottage. Lots of white beadboard, some rustic brick-like tile, etc. So, here’s what we came up with. We used an antique dry sink for the vanity, framed our old mirror, and found some great rustic outdoor lights. We made some rustic and meaningful wall art. One of my very favorite parts is the white vessel sink and the water pump style faucet. For the shower, we knew we wanted to get rid of the old tub and do a standing shower. We used some brick-looking travertine to get a rustic look. We love it! And finally, we added a few pretty touches. Now, this really is our favorite room in the house! It turned out so much better than we ever anticipated.
