UncategorizedBathroom Bargains September 22, 2011I have gotten so much sweet feedback about the bathroom and want to say THANK YOU! It means a lot. I want to share some specifics about how we put it all together. As I said, one of my favorite things in the bathroom is the faucet. I gave that to Chris last year for his birthday and am glad it’s finally being put to use! The faucet is Price Pfister and can be found here. We loved the water pump style, but you know me, I have a really hard time paying retail. So, I found it on ebay for over $100 off retail price! The sink was also a GREAT bargain. After we found the vanity (more to come on that), we knew we wanted a white vessel sink. We looked at Lowe’s and they were running around $300. Yep, that was not in our budget. So, we kept looking. We found some online for $160 – still higher than we wanted to pay. But, we thought that might be the best we found. So, one day, we were in Lowe’s for something else and I thought we should look at sinks, just to see. There our sink sat on clearance for $40. I thought there had to be some catch, but Chris asked a sales associate and it was true! Of course, Chris being the bargainer he is, got an additional 10% off because it was a floor model. I love that man. For the light fixtures, I knew I wanted a rustic fixture. So, an outdoor light seemed like the best option. I looked around on the web quite a bit, but just couldn’t find the right fixture in our budget. Then, on another of our many trips to Lowe’s, I just happened to walk down the outdoor light aisle and there they were. I really love how they turned out – exactly what I pictured! I can’t find them on their website, but they still have them in our store. We got these for $25 each. Now that I can handle! The towel is from Pottery Barn. It was still a great price, though, for a nice monogrammed towel! I really like the personal touch that it adds to the room. Plus, the yellow ties well with our bedroom. I’ll be back with more bathroom details and bargains soon!
