Faith & Family#purposeinstyle Series January 8, 2016You guys, I can’t over your encouragement and love in response to my last two posts. They are my favorite posts I’ve written in awhile, but I knew they were a risk. My heart has really been longing for change for awhile and it’s so comforting to realize that yours are as well. One of the first things that I started with my new direction in mind was the Instagram series Purpose in Style. It started back in November with some lovely ladies I’m inspired by. The main goal was to say no to the design-only rules of blogging and social sharing and to get away from perfectly-styled, professional shots. We wanted to infuse real-life into our homes and how we shared them. You can read the announcement post here that really explains our full hearts and motivation behind the series. Christmas was such a fun time for the series! Instead of just sharing the “tour” Christmas home images, I snapped many with my phone in the moment. I wanted to show how our family was actually living in and enjoying our home during the holiday season. Nesting with Grace, My Sweet Savannah, and myself have been blown away how this series resonated with you guys. So many of you have participated and have resonated with the need for real-life and meaning being infused into how we share our style and homes. I’m so excited to share with you today those that have been featured so far and really celebrate the talent and hearts behind them. Each week it was so hard to choose someone to feature! But we looked at the photo and the caption/meaning to decide and have featured six amazing ladies and their homes. Week 1: @most_lovely_things You can follow her on Instagram here and read her blog here. Week 2: @carpendaughter You can follow her on Instagram here. Week 3: @classicnestinteriors You can follow her on Instagram here. Week 4: @sosimplydesign You can follow her on Instagram here and read her blog here. Week 5: @ranchhouserehab You can follow her on Instagram here and read her blog here. Week 6: @michelle_janeen You can follow her Instagram here. And as we said at the beginning, each time we do the blog round-up, we will each go back through the series and choose a wildcard that really spoke to us. I fell in love with this image from @houseofsixinteriors. Isn’t it lovely? You can follow her Instagram here. We’re so excited to kick off another round this coming Monday with some new talented hosts to join in: Lucy from Craftberry Bush @mscraftberrybush Natalie from Hammmade Furniture @hammmadefurniture Lauren from Farmhouse for Four: @farmhouseforfour The six of us can’t wait to see how you guys are living with purpose in style!
Julia at Home on 129 Acres says January 8, 2016 at 9:50 pm I love the first photo of your living room: dog bed, mismatched wrapping paper. That’s real. Thanks for sharing and working so hard to be genuine. Reply
Anita says January 11, 2016 at 10:10 am Love your new home Lindsay, and it still looks perfectly wonderful:-) Those other photos, realistic as they are, are still beautifu and tell a story. I only wish my home looked that good on a daily basis, but any ‘real’ shot I take looks like we should be on an episode of hoarders:-) Reply
