UncategorizedOur Master Bath January 25, 2014As I said yesterday, our master bathroom is 6×10. We wanted a standing tile shower, a double vanity, and some storage. I posted this inspiration for this room a while back. Even though we haven’t finished it yet, I thought about what I wanted long ago. We had to plan out the tile and vanity pretty early. 1. Rustic wood vanity with white top 2.Colorful, kilim style rug 3. Slate tile floor 4. White subway tile shower with dark grout 5. Metallic light fixture 6. Lovely, colorful artwork This plan has changed just slightly as time has gone on, but some of these elements we’ve already gotten to. We installed the slate tile floor. I love the variations in color and the richness that it has. I love how the standing shower turned out. We chose white penny tile for the floor for contrast. And the white subway tile with dark gray grout gave it that modern, clean look that I wanted. And Chris built and installed the vanity. I love this vanity so much and can’t wait to style the rest of the room around it. Since these in-progress photos were taken, we’ve installed the glass shower door and everything is usable. Now, we’re waiting on a mirror, lights, and accessories. I finally found just the right items and we’re working on some DIY lights. We’re hoping to finish this room up and be able to share the final reveal in the next few weeks! I am so excited about how this room is shaping up. Get ready for some added color and personality to this neutral shell!

Sarah says January 26, 2014 at 1:09 pm I’m so excited to see what’s happening with your bathroom! My husband and I are in the middle of a bathroom renovation too and all I want are brass fixtures but its so hard to find them. My husband wants to do chrome fixtures but I’m having a hard time agreeing to it. We have similar style, how do you feel about chrome fixtures? Reply
