UncategorizedCWTS – Final Round! April 9, 2014 We made it, we made it!!! We are headed to the final round of Creating with the Stars, y’all! I had no clue what to expect when I started this contest. And as it’s gone on, I still had no clue what to expect. We started out with 12 amazing contestants and some have gone home long before I expected. I really tried not to get my hopes up because anything like this is uncertain. But here we are! For this round, I upcycled a 5-foot long dough bowl that I found at an antique yard. I loved the rustic, hand-carved wood, but had nothing to do with such a huge bowl. I’ve loved mid-century hairpin legs for like ever and knew this was the perfect opportunity to use them! I really love the steel combination with the wood. And I really love the table resting on top of the overdyed persian rug. I am so in love with this beauty! I found it a while ago on eBay and knew I would find the perfect place for it. I love it layered over black and white with the coffee table on top. This coffee table will be living permanently in our living room. I love it so much and cannot bear to not see it every day! So maybe these rugs have found their new home too… And the Moroccan Wedding Blanket makes me so happy. It just fills my heart with such bohemian goodness. I have loved these blankets forever, but they are so expensive! I knew I could DIY a version. This was so cheap and easy compared to the original! I can’t wait to share the full tutorials for both of these on Friday over at East Coast Creative! They were really easy, but make a huge statement in the end, I think. Those are the best kind of projects! I’ve got to give a HUGE thank you to my dear friend and neighbor, Jessica. We styled this shoot at her house and used her gorgeous mid-century couch. I was out of spots in our tiny little cottage that y’all wouldn’t recognize! Though, I know some of you recognized my style. I tried not to give away any obvious clues, but I’ve got to be me, people! It cracks me up how hard some of you tried to figure out which one was mine. One of my best friends texted me and said that she really thought the dough bowl one was mine, but the baseboards looked too wide to be in my house. I LOVE that y’all were that into it! I’m off to get ready for the final round, Round 4: Home Decor. I’m so excited about what I have planned for this and am DYING, seriously DYING, to get started!!! I’m happy to be designing alongside two amazingly talented bloggers. Becki and Chris from The Uncommon Law and Shannon from A.K.A. Design. Go check out their fabulous blogs, if you haven’t already! All of this craziness is close to ending, but I have loved every minute. Thanks so much for all of your love and support that you keep sending my way!!!
