UncategorizedIn a Summer Mood June 14, 2012I don’t know about y’all, but I am in such a summery mood. I think it’s knowing that I’m supposed to be off for summer and enjoying this lovely season, but instead, I’m sitting in certification class this week and next week 🙁 Not my favorite. I keep trying to remind myself that after next week, I have seven weeks of summer FREE to enjoy summer, work on the house, and hang out here on the blog. But today, while I was sitting on my lunch break in a school cafeteria glancing through Pinterest at all the summer images, I had a hard time taking that to heart. I’d rather be lounging somewhere like this… {via} Or this… {via} I’d rather be muching on a summery snack like these… {via} Or sipping on something light and fruity like this… {via} And I’d love to be wearing something like this (it’s freezing in the school, so I’m wearing sweaters!)… {via} Or this… {via} I love summer style. So, since I can’t enjoy much of this for the next two weeks, I need to live vicarioulsy through y’all. So, here’s the question… I want to hear it, y’all! Give me some good stuff 🙂 Tell me what you’re up to!
Kelly @ Talk of the House says June 18, 2012 at 9:38 am Oh man..not fun sitting in meetings when you should be off doing something else. I can sympathize with having to endure the freezing cold rooms. I hate that too! Always take a jacket with me. The tomato kabobs from pinterest look delicious. I am most excited to get some projects finished around here on the inside and finally get to work in the yard this summer. Hope your meetings are fun and interesting. Reply

I’m also excited for my negotiations class to be over (summer school-ugh), having a month to myself, and starting my last year of law school! I love the word art you did for the mantel, it’s adorable – the whole set up is. I know you asked me to share my renovation progress with you but I’m not sure I can post photos here…are you on facebook or twitter? Reply
