UncategorizedOur Memorial Day Party May 29, 2012I hope you all had a lovely Memorial Day! We definitely did! Over the weekend, we hosted a Memorial Day Party at my parent’s farm. I’m so excited to show you how it turned out! I posed this inspiration board on Friday: I think the party turned out pretty close to this board. I’m going to divide the post up into two days because I have SO many pictures that I’d like to share. Today, I’ll show party decor and tomorrow, I’ll talk about the food and family 🙂 So, here goes our party… Down behind my parents’ home, there’s this lovely little area: It’s shaded overhead by trees and cool pretty much throughout the day, which is a huge feat for our southern summers! It’s the perfect spot for outdoor gathering and entertaining. Mom and Dad have outfitted it with a firepit: We love sitting around in adirondacks and enjoying fires. They’ve just added a big picnic table that will seat 12-15, depending on how close you want to get 🙂 This is where we chose to gather. Here’s our table: I love how the centerpiece turned out. We put one hydrangea bloom in each vase at different heights and colors. And the blue floral napkins make me happy. I love this wine box turned silverware server that my mom has: Here’s the view of the food table: Our party was in honor of my grandfather, a WWII veteran, so we set out a photo of him in his uniform. I really love how the party turned out. We had a great time. I’ll have more on it tomorrow!

Kelly @ Talk of the House says May 31, 2012 at 7:54 am What a gorgeous party!! The blue in your hydrangeas is beautiful and sets off those napkins perfectly. And I love the chalkboard set up for the serving area. The fact that you included the photograph of your grandfather made it even more meaningful. Love it all! kelly Reply
