EntertainingTuesday’s Tablescape: Rustic & Floral Fall September 22, 2015 I recently started a series, Tuesday’s Tablescape, where I’ll share a new themed table each week. Entertaining is a huge part of who I am and few things are as fun to me as styling a pretty table. It’s especially fun in the fall when there is so much goodness to share! Years ago, before The White Buffalo came to be, I shot several tablescapes as a part of an Etsy shop that I had with my mom and sister. The two fall tablescapes I did then are still some of my favorite work and they’re still my biggest Pinterest referrers! I decided to re-share them since my audience has grown and changed so much in the last two years and share sources for re-creating them since we made most everything in the shots. The goal with this backyard fall table was a pretty and rustic spin on traditional fall. Rustic wood slice chargers are one of my favorite things to use in tablescapes. They’re so versatile and always bring in the wood element that I love. For the napkins, we chose a rich floral and used small twig wreaths as napkin rings. We used twine to tie a round of card stock on as the place card. Using a pumpkin rubber stamp and a copper stamp pad (it is softer than orange and gives a little shimmer), we created a backdrop for the name. Then, wrote each name in Sharpie. I love handwritten place cards. I like how they instantly create a casual, more welcoming and informal vibe. The centerpiece is simple with a brown burlap table runner, wood rounds with varying heights of pillar candles and various shades and shapes of pumpkins. I love using colored glassware and these vintage amber glasses bring a lot to the table, I think. One of my favorite ways to create cozy outdoor entertaining is to bring out upholstered furniture, rugs, or other indoor items. Here, we upgraded this standard picnic table with two tan slipcovered wingbacks on each end and a buffalo check pillow. Since this table was first posted years ago, I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten source questions from a lot of you who found it on Pinterest. I’ve rounded up the closest matches to these items I can find, so that you can create your own Grateful Harvest at home. And all of the materials we used to create these fun place cards and napkin rings is linked too! If you missed my last fall tablescape, you can see it here. This one is still my favorite of all time!
