UncategorizedThanksgiving Table Inspiration November 15, 2012Today, I was in the mood to seek out some Thanksgiving inspiration. I haven’t shifted our dining table decorations over to Thanksgiving yet. I know I’m late, but I’ll get there. I was seeking out some inspiration for it this morning and came across some things I want to share. I thought recently how fun it might be to one day have some Thanksgiving plates to inspire a table decoration. Not that I have to have Thanksgiving specific plates to set a table for Thanskgiving, but these Thanksgiving decorating pieces are making me smile. I remembered these white turkey plates that I saw recently at a Pottery Barn Outlet. White is so my thing and the texture on these just makes me happy. What a beautiful table they would inspire! And the good news? They’re on sale right now on Pottery Barn’s website – even cheaper than the outlet store! You can find them here. In looking for these on their website, I found several other lovely Thanksgiving things that I can just picture in our home. I love these natural turkeys. How cute and I love the natural elements. Best of all, these are on a great sale too! Find them here. The other thing I LOVE from Pottery Barn is their white turkey. I have loved this for quite a while, but can’t really justify the cost on this one. I think I might DIY this one at some point if I can find a ceramic turkey to paint. I’ve seen it in the store this year, but it’s not on the website. I may have to DIY it to get one! While I’m on Pottery Barn, they really do Thanksgiving right. I love their table displays. Here are a few of my favorites for some inspiration: Such pretty displays! I love the natural elements used for Thanksgiving. Moving on from Pottery Barn, I’ve always been drawn to Spode Woodland when I’ve seen it. What a gorgeous Thanksgiving table this would make! I absolutely love the brown and white pattern with the woodland scenes in the center. The turkey platter is perfect to serve the centerpiece of your Thanksgiving meal. I think I’ll have to keep a lookout for these. I love collecting vintage dish sets. I like the older/classic look with lots of white and little rustic. Do you think I could be lucky enough to find a complete, undamaged set of these at a thrift store??? I’d be happy even with just the salad plates to pair with my white… Oh well, a girl can hope and search! That’s how I’ve found my best thrift store finds. Well, I think this post has inspired me to do a new tablescape for Thanksgiving, even if we do only have one week to enjoy it. Have you guys done a special tablescape or vignette for Thanksgiving? If so, I’d love to see it and share it on the blog! Next Monday, in honor of the Thanksgiving week, I want to share your Thanksgiving tablescapes! For all of you bloggers, leave me a link in the comments or e-mail me a photo: lindsay@lifeofsplendor.com. Please send them my way – I’d love to see and share!
