Home DecorStone Cottage Fall Tour October 22, 2019 I cannot believe how fast October is flying by! Our Halloween chain is just getting shorter and shorter, the leaves are starting to turn outside finally, and we are soaking up every bit that this season has to offer! I promised a fall tour this year and am so excited to give you guys a glimpse into fall at our stone cottage. This holiday season (for me that’s fall through Christmas) feels so different with the new house we’re working on. But I’m determined to soak up this last fall here in our sweet cottage and enjoy every minute as a family. I kept the lights low and cozy, lit some candles and turned on the lamps. That’s how our home looks nearly all fall and I love it. My seasonal decor has continued to go more and more natural and simple over the years. I love bringing in real pumpkins, as y’all well know. They’re dotted around our home and I love it. I bring out more candles to light. I amp up the cozy with some added blankets and a few throw pillows. And the living room book basket gets a big fall switch-up. If you missed it, you can find my favorite fall and Halloween books in this post. I’ll do a Thanksgiving round-up soon! Turn on your JavaScript to view content I dotted shades of my favorite fall color palette, rusts and caramels, all around the house. And woven textures and velvets. I love the richness of it all. While I’m always ready for a little freshening come spring and summer, my autumn soul always longs for the coziness. I think this is my favorite view this fall…the banquette loaded up with pillows with the kitchen in the background. I absolutely love the simple look of a single, lovely lumpy heirloom pumpkin in the center of our dining table. And that’s what I’ve done the last several years! I’ve searched high and low for just the right one and enjoy the view of it all season long. But this year, Rosie and Dax have been obsessed with “baby pumpkins.” They wanted them everywhere! We spread lots of babies around and I am loving it! Rosie helped me carefully arrange them all. I’d planned to really fill up my kitchen window sill this year. This window sill is extra deep because of our stone exterior and I know that’s one thing I’m really going to miss in the next house. But, this line of the these three curvy-stemmed pumpkins won out and I absolutely love this view. Turn on your JavaScript to view content Another favorite this year is the real-leaf wreath from Trader Joe’s. I absolutely love having that ledge on the hood to display all the things: wreaths, art, etc. And I love changing it up for each season! What IS IT about pumpkins, you guys? I dream about them all year, anxiously await the day they show up in stores, and then cannot stop spreading them around and basking in their beauty. I love all of the ways nature celebrates each season. But pumpkins may be my favorite. Cozy October, I just love you. I promised a video tour as well! I’ve been planning a walk-through tour of our stone cottage before we moved and fall felt like the perfect time! I filmed it for IGTV, but wanted to include it here as well for those who don’t have Instagram (but that’s why it’s a vertical shot). Thanks for touring our cozy fall home and happy fall friends! Hoping it’s magical for you.
Kelly says October 22, 2019 at 11:50 am Wow – you are SO talented. I just fell in love with your home even more than from just the pictures. It is positively charming, absolutely every detail about it. I would love to come home to this house every day. All of the paint colors go so well together, the fabrics, the rugs, everything. Thank you for sharing! Reply

Silvia Loya says October 22, 2019 at 4:35 pm Lindsay, you and me both. What is it about pumpkins and pine trees, the crisp air and the cool breezes? Love it all. My house is decked for the fall come August. Every last inch of it is decorated with pumpkins (gourds of all sizes and shapes), fall foilage, wreaths, and lots of scarecrows and wooden decor. Too bad we don’t have the changing of the leaves where we live, but the orange, brown, and yellow colors coming to life is just a simple reminder that Fall is just around the corner. Have fun with your children and be safe Halloween Night. Enjoy this last holiday season with beautiful memories in your cottage before you go on to make new ones in your new home. Can’t wait to see it!!!! Love our postings. Reply
AmandaKB says October 22, 2019 at 9:25 pm Your house looks adorable and cozy! Fall is my favorite season. The leaves are peaking right now where we live, and we’ve been going on drives and hikes as often as we can. We hate hot weather, too, so our cool temps feel amazing. Wishing you a joy-filled holiday season full of sweet memories of this stage of your life 🙂 Reply
