RenovationsShed Interior Progress June 8, 2016We’ve been working hard to finish up this big outdoor project and have made so much progress. Today, I’m going to give you a little tour of what we’re looking like inside. As a reminder, here’s the before. Lots of dark wood, some spray paint graffiti I just realized I didn’t get a good shot of, and stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. If you missed the rest of the befores and plans, you can check them out here. First we cut windows, leaving us with a much more open space. And now, here’s what we’ve got going on. The original plan was to paint the walls and ceiling white, but as we started painting the walls, we decided to leave the ceiling untouched. I love the contrast between the two and I always want my rooms to have a wood element. It fits the rustic barn feel that we had in mind, too. For the walls, we used Origami White from Lowe’s HGTV by Sherwin Williams line. We primed it first and then did one coat of this paint. We cut in all of the corners with a brush and then used a small roller to paint wherever we could. Those white planks with the touch of white brick at the bottom is just perfect. It always blows my mind what a little white paint can do. I’m loving how open the entrance feels now! I’ll break down exactly what we did there in a later post. The big reveal will be this Friday and I’m so excited about it. I’ll break down the budget and exterior details next week. Check back Friday for the big reveal, y’all!
Courtney says June 8, 2016 at 3:55 pm Amazing! We have a white shed I dream of renovating one day (its so bad, we actually call it the meth lab because who knows what went on back in the day) and this is seriously giving me inspiration for it. One day…:) Can’t wait for the full reveal! Courtney Reply
Caroline says June 8, 2016 at 4:03 pm This might be my all time favorite project you guys have done! I am trying to figure out how I can do my own version in my shed-less yard. : ) Also, such a good call with leaving the wood natural on the ceilings. It looks amazing. Reply

Charisse Andrews says June 9, 2016 at 10:34 am It is looking wonderful. I love all the openness and keeping the ceiling unpainted. Question though about the brick at the foundation level…..can it support all the weight and does it need re-pointing? Reply
Amy says June 9, 2016 at 11:26 am It looks like there is screen material in the windows – is that accurate or are they actually open spaces? I would be very interested in how you attached the screens if that is the case. Looking great so far – can’t wait for Friday’s reveal 🙂 Reply

Debra says June 9, 2016 at 2:30 pm You have really inspired me. I have a shed just like your shed. We live in an older home as well. I love the shed with al the wood beams. I want a screened porch because we live in south Alabama with an abundance of bugs. To build a screened porch would be very expensive but this is a great alternative. I love your decor and style?
