EntertainingRosie’s Birthday Party Inspiration January 29, 2016I started thinking about Rosie’s first birthday before she was born. Yep, I’m a crazy planner like that. I love planning parties and planning one to celebrate my sweet baby’s first year of life is the most exciting one yet. But for forever, I couldn’t come up with a theme I liked. I always pictured doing floral happy parties for my girl, but that just felt a little weird for her January birthday. I wanted something that fit the season a little better. On my weekly trips to Target, I always look through the kids’ clothes section and one day, I came across this sweet little dress. I fell so in love with it and just wanted little Rosie to have it so badly. She didn’t even have anywhere to wear it, but I just loved this sweet dress so much. Then it hit me…it would be perfect for a snow-themed birthday. The idea for her Winter One-derland Birthday was born. The first thing I found were the invitations. I searched a lot of different sites and Etsy shops, but fell in love with these from Miss Pokadot. I loved the rustic wood background paired with the snowflakes, glitter, and feminine flourishes. She sent the PDF to us within two days, we printed them ourselves on card stock, and mailed them out. It couldn’t have been easier! I’m really allowing the invite to inspire the party. We’re going for a Rustic Snowy-themed Girly Party. The goal is to create a beautiful, festive party on a low budget. The plan here is to bring in decorative items we already have like rustic wood touches, antique brass, lanterns, and candles. Then top that with paper snowflakes and twinkle lights. We had to push back Rosie’s party from last weekend to tomorrow due to the actual winter wonderland that we were hit with here in South Carolina. I’m finishing up decorating and baking today and cannot wait to share all the details of her party next week. But for now, here are some images that are really inspiring me! Snowflake Table Runner Marshmellow Snow Baby’s Breath and Sweet Sign Snowflake Garlands Paper Snowflakes Snowflake Mobile Ooh I’m so excited! And I’ve got to get back to work. The party reveal and all the details will be shared next week! Happy weekend, friends!
