UncategorizedOur Sunroom May 9, 2012Happy Wednesday! Wednesdays are always good days, half way through the week! Here’s a glimpse at our sunroom re-do. We’ve been working for a while on this. There are still some things I’d like to do, but it’s really getting there. Here is a before picture of the left side of the room: Here’s how this side looks now. Remember the desk Chris made me for Christmas? Here’s how that little blogging/writing area is turning out: You’ll notice we took up that rug from this post. It’s still going by the desk as you see in this picture, but we’ve taken up all rugs for Gracie’s potty training time – so much easier to clean up hardwoods than rugs. I meant to put it back down for pictures, but forgot before I took the pictures – try to imagine it there 🙂 Remember on the other side of the room, we’re doing a little sitting area. We love to sit here in the mornings and drink coffee and read our Bibles- we don’t make it everyday, but we try. Here’s that side of the room before we did anything: And here’s what it looks like today: Some home magazines for reading – I need these in every room! I posted pictures of this gallery wall before – I’m really liking it with the semi-finished rest of the room. I’ll start tomorrow telling you about sources – where I got this stuff, what we re-did and how it all came together. Remember I said that this was in progress and there’s more I want to do in here. I’ll have that later too. Today, I’m just going to enjoy it the way it is. I’m bad about never seeing something as finished and in doing so, being discontent with it until I think it’s finished. I need to be better about that – learn to rest and be content and pleased with the progress. Just like my motto says, “Seeing the Splendor in the Everyday.” It’s not, “Seeing the Splendor in the Perfect or in the Finished.” 🙂 Always a good reminder. Thanks for stopping in! **I’ve updated the “Our Home” tab at the top of the page with this sunroom re-do. Check out our other room re-do’s there!
Lindsay says May 15, 2012 at 1:11 pm Hi Stacy! Thanks for the comment 🙂 I wish I made that! It’s a french postcard rug from Ballard Designs. Here’s the link: http://www.ballarddesigns.com/antique-letter-indoor-2foutdoor-rug/rugs/all-rugs/218896?listIndex=44. It’s written in French…I wish I knew enough French to tell you what it said 🙂 It’s indoor/outdoor, though, which is awesome for stains! Thanks, Stacy! Reply
