UncategorizedOur Favorite Bathroom Detail September 26, 2011I posted a few bathroom bargains on Friday and want to share a few more! I love so much about how our bathroom turned out. But, probably our favorite part of the new master bath is the vanity. When we started the bathroom, we were planning to build a vanity because we just couldn’t find the right look that was in our heads. And then, we found this piece. At Goodwill. Yes, I said it: Goodwill. You guys know how much I love Goodwill. I believe in Goodwill. But, oh how I doubted that we could find exactly what we were looking for there…for $40. And, we didn’t even have to refinish it! I can’t seem to find the before pictures that I KNOW I took, but all we did was clean and polurethane it for protection. Pretty sweet. We couldn’t figure out what kind of piece it was with the two-level top. And then, Chris’ dad told us that it was a dry-sink. Apparently they used to be used at a home’s entrance to clean vegetables, etc. It’s cool to know what its history might have been. I knew we were onto something when a couple of friends asked if we had it custom-made for the space. YES! Not that I care if something looks expensive, but I do care that it looks unique and perfect for its new home!
