UncategorizedMy Mother May 10, 2011 We had a great Mother’s Day on Sunday. I hope you did as well! We went out to lunch with my two grandmothers. They are two of the most kind and encouraging Christian women I know. Throughout my life, they have been a great example to me of how to be a loving wife, mother, and all around, how to give and serve others. But, this is the first year that I’ve spent Mother’s Day without this lovely lady: I missed her. My mom and I are incredibly close. I’m her dreamer daughter, always reaching for the seemingly impossible and she has always been my biggest cheerleader. She has always told me, “You can” instead of “You can’t”. She pushes me on through her encouragement, love, and support. I firmly believe that nearly every dream I’ve ever achieved wouldn’t have happened without her encouraging me, bringing me back down to earth and helping me put a plan into action. Throughout my life, my mother has been a source of strength for our family. Always constant, always loving. You never had to question what you were going to get with her. She’s steady. She cherishes her family, never taking them for granted and always telling them what they mean to her . As my sister and I have grown older, we’ve all become the best of friends. We spend time together because we choose it, not because we feel obligated as family. I am so thankful for my mother. I am thankful for the woman that she is and through that, the woman she is helping me become. I love you, mom.
