UncategorizedMaster Bedroom Board and Batten May 29, 2013I hope y’all had a lovely Memorial Day weekend! We did, but it was filled with work. As Chris says, we’re coming to the end of a marathon. We can see the finish line, but there’s still a lot between us and the end. We’re really getting there, though. Our master suite has made some major progress and I am so excited to share! The floors have been laid, the doors hung, and everything painted. I love these craftsman style doors. We got them at a local builder supply store for $25 each. Huge deal. That opening on the right that you see will be our laundry room/closet. It’s been tiled, but still needs some doors. Wanna see inside the bedroom? We are so happy with how it turned out. We had originally planned to do floor to ceiling board and batten in the living room and dining room, but with the open floor plan, it was going to be on so few walls we weren’t sure it would have the impact we wanted. So we moved that plan to the Master. OOOH, I love it. Excuse all the tools…this is still majorly a construction zone. There’s a peek at the back of our bathroom vanity. I’ll be sharing details on that very soon! I have always loved board and batten, but now, I cannot express my love for it enough. Makes me so happy. Now, the contractor has moved on to the master bath. If you missed our inspiration for that, you can see it here. He’s tiled the slate floor and will be starting on the shower today. He told us to have the vanity ready and pick our faucets and lighting asap. It’s all coming together!
