UncategorizedLife in Grace December 12, 2012I recently came across a new favorite blog and blogger that I just have to share with y’all. Have you met Edie at Life in Grace? I love reading her writing. She has the most vivacious, genuine, and faithful blog voice, which I’m convinced is exactly how she is in “real life.” I love her decorating style and I’m going to share some of her fun and quirky rooms with you, but it’s her family’s story that really gets me. In 2010, a fire took all of their possessions and destroyed their home. Edie has gone through a journey of faith in recovering from that and shares it so beautifully on her blog. I have loved reading back through her posts on all of this. Since then, as Edie says, “They’ve rebuilt their dream home while God rebuilt their hearts.” Touching stuff, I tell you. Their new home is gorgeous and it has really opened up my eyes. I love quirky elements, but don’t always add them into my rooms very well. This is something I’ve wanted to include more of. Edie’s rooms are so beautiful, but they have this unique vibe that feels totally fresh. Here’s a few of my favorites. Their screened-in porch: Their kitchen: Their master bedroom: The powder room: And since its Christmas, here’s my very favorite image that I found on her blog. Her Christmas mantel: How fun is that?! I just love her style. So, if you’re in the mood to see some gorgeous/fun/quirky/fantastic rooms, get some spiritual information, hear about her homeschooling her girls, and be inspired by a family’s journey from tragedy to hope, hop on over and visit Edie. I know you’ll love her! Thank you so much, Edie, for allowing me to share your gorgeous home and story. *** Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing our Christmas tree and linking up to this. I’ve had the hardest time waiting for this link party to share this! I’m SO excited about our tree this year. Hope to see you there 🙂
