Carmel from Our Fifth House I’ll be doing a roundup of all the projects at the end of the week, but make sure you click over to their blog and check them out! I’m getting geared up for mine tomorrow. I posted this teaser photo of my project over the weekend. I love this piece of live edge wood and so did a lot of you lovely Instagram followers. Now, time for full disclosure. This blog is about being real for me, and in the DIY world, we have failures and delays and obstacles we didn’t expect. We hit a little snag on this wood project, so it’s delayed until next week. Sadness, I know, but it’s coming and it may be my favorite thing we’ve made yet. Good thing I had another knock off project floating around here…there’s nothing I love more than figuring out thrifty ways to make awesome things inspired by great brands. So, here’s the teaser for my project tomorrow. I’ve wanted a kilim style bench for quite a while. There are so many good ones floating around out there, but I’m really loving the Asha Kilim Bench from World Market. I’ve wanted one of these for a while for our mudroom/entry way that comes right into our kitchen. But at $279.99, it was a bit above my budget. So, what does this DIYer always do? Find a way to create her own! Can’t wait to share how it turned out tomorrow morning. *** Okay, now for some Modern & Fresh Fall Tour round ups. Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof posted her lovely pumpkin filled home on Saturday. On Sunday, Jessica from Dear Emmeline posted her cozy and beautiful fall home I loved her mantle! Yesterday, Kelly from View Along the Way posted her lovely house. I want to come over for a party! And today, Sarah from Lacquer & Linen posted her bright and fresh fall home. Love those feathers on the napkins! All so lovely! Make sure and go check them out if you haven’t already and check back tomorrow for my Knocktober Fest Project! Wahoo!
