Home DecorJewelry Organization with Target’s Calleo Collection September 2, 2016This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Liberty Hardware for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. Even though we moved into this house a year ago, my closet has sat unorganized and basically unfinished ever since. It just got pushed behind other pressing projects. I’m not going to admit how long I got dressed each day out of cardboard boxes! We hung the rods for my clothes a few months ago, but my accessories and shoes have remained in piles! Jewelry is my favorite thing to add to any simple outfit and y’all, it has been piled on a shelf for months. It takes me an extra ten minutes to sort through every time I’m going to get ready, no joke. I finally realized that I had to make this area a priority and get this space more organized. The jewelry was on the top of my list to tackle. I’ve been looking around for a creative and useful way to get my jewelry organized and more accessible. When I found the Threshold Calleo Collection sold Exclusively at Target , I knew it was the perfect solution to my unorganized jewelry problems. The Calleo Collection is based off of a rail system that could not be easier to install. Plus, it’s a Customizable storage solution with different hooks and baskets in different finishes that can be added on. The hooks come in sets of four, which is a great value. I didn’t need as many as I got with two sets for the rails, but they also mount on the walls, so I know I’ll be able to use them elsewhere. I only had a small two-foot space between my shelves and the door. To make the most of the space, I hung two rails stacked on top of each other. First, I installed the white rails with two screws. Then the baskets and hooks slide right on! In ten minutes, this blank, useless wall became the perfect jewelry storage system. A little tip, if you have a tight space like I do, you’ll need to slide the baskets on before screwing in the rail. I didn’t have enough clearance on each end once they were mounted to slide it on. The hooks don’t require any clearance though. I went with a white rail and brass baskets and hooks. I love the stylish, modern finish that it has. It looks so high-end for the price. I chose a few baskets to hold my bracelets and organize them by type. Then, I used hooks to hang necklaces from. One of my favorite things about the system is that you can slide in cork boards and even chalkboards. I chose a corkboard for the top to post some quotes and pretty things that inspire. You can also slide pictures right on the rail for easy display. There’s just something so pretty about displayed jewelry and I love this organized little nook that greets me right when I walk in the closet! The collection is sold in stores in the hardware section Target, but you can also find it online. Check out this Target video to see all of the possibilities with the Calleo collection. There are so many options to organize your spaces with Calleo and you can customize it to fit your exact needs. Say goodbye to messes and Say Hello to Calleo! I’ll be sharing more on the closet soon!
Samantha Hooper says January 26, 2017 at 2:49 pm Hi. I really like what you did for jewelry storage but what about earrings? I will probably try something like this but I still need to figure out how to store my earrings. Currently all my jewelry is in a box on my nightstand & taking over! Reply
Lindsay says January 26, 2017 at 3:45 pm Hi Samantha! Great question! I actually only have a few pairs of earrings that I wear. I recently developed an allergy to any non-real earrings and had to get rid of so many pairs! It was so sad 🙁 So, I have the four pairs I alternate between on a little tray in my closet shelves! I’ll be sharing a closet tour soon and you’ll see them there! Reply
Samantha Hooper says January 26, 2017 at 4:49 pm Oh wow! That is no fun, but the means quality over quantity which is always good. I don’t have many but I find having them hang makes me wear them more evenly. Can’t wait for the closet tour! Reply
