UncategorizedHappy Friday and Inspiration from Pinterest January 27, 2012Happy Friday, y’all! To me, most Fridays feel like they come quickly. The weeks fly by and the anticipated weekend comes even quicker than I expected. But this week has felt long. I’ve been fighting a rough cold, which probably has something to do with it. I just feel tired and like this week has been a little too packed – I’m ready for a restful weekend. When you’re tired, sick, down, busy whatever it may be, it’s so easy to lose sight of the big picture. I definitely think I have this week. But, Pinterest never fails me (does that sound sad?). I signed on this morning and was hit with some inspiration, as always. I should recognize that God used Pinterest to bring me back today 🙂 Except, my inspiration did not come from beautiful images of homes today. Rather, it came from words. That’s so me…head always in the clouds. Maybe that’s not such a bad thing after all. I love this…as I’m juggling lots of different, yet important things that I want to do, I often forget that the dreams and things we desire will take hard work and will leave us drained and tired at times, as I feel now. But, it will be worth it. Such a good reminder that in the midst of all the doing, all the pursuit of dreams and the hard work, we can still find happiness and joy if we choose to. The Lord doesn’t leave us, even when we feel alone. Our joy comes not from present, and potentially hard circumstances, it comes from something bigger and more constant. And here’s the last one that caught my eye today… Wow. This is what we’re called to do. I may feel tired right now, but this one hit my heart hard. What is life worth if we’re not working hard and getting tired, not for earthly gains, but for an eternal purpose? I want to be this kind of woman…a woman of intention, purpose, and courage. These encouraged me a bit today…I hope they did to you as well! Have a wonderful, restful, and fun weekend!
