UncategorizedFall Mantle 2012 October 3, 2012I’ve finally found little snippets of time to start spreading fall around our house. Getting the shop all set up and everything ready to go has taken a lot of time, but we’re almost there and I am so excited!!! But I’ve been dying to start decorating. I feel like I am so late! Which I guess around the blog world, I am. It does kind of crack me up, though, that it is October 3rd and I am panicked because I am not totally decorated for fall! I am getting there, though, and today, I want to share this year’s fall mantle with you. Here is what I did last year: This year, I went with similar colored pumpkins. I just love green heirlooms and white pumpkins. I brought in one of our vintage signs from the shop and some rustic wood elements. This sign is from our Enchanted Autumn line. You can read more about that here. And y’all remember the wood round pillars from that same post, right? I can’t get enough of rustic wood goodness. The paint-by-number was a recent gift from my sweet mama. She came across a set of two at an antique store and thought they looked like her girls. And she was right! Ashley and I each got one to use in our fall decorations. I’m loving the paint-by-number trend so much. It’s a bit of a departure from my usual mantle decor, but I love looking up there and seeing this. That tells me I landed on the right thing for this year. I am never really satisfied with decorating. I don’t know if that’s my right brain at work or what. I’ll probably look at it tomorrow and want to change something and wish I hadn’t posted it yet, but tonight it makes me happy.
