Home DecorDIY Painted Kilim Pattern June 1, 2015 I absolutely love the look of this kilim wall that I created for last year’s Creating with the Stars competition. It was a big inspiration for Rosie’s nursery too. I’m really going to miss this wall when we move! I was so excited to share the tutorial with you guys, but then I had the great SD card malfunction of 2014 and every single photo was lost. I’ve been planning to re-create this tutorial ever since, but haven’t gotten around to painting a whole other wall. Surprisingly, this tutorial really isn’t hard. It’s just a bit tedious. Kilim patterns are made up of straight lines, which make re-creating it fairly simple. When eHOw approached me about creating a DIY Kilim Pillow, I was so excited! It gave me the boost I needed to re-create this tutorial for you guys, FINALLY. I obviously condensed the wall pattern for the pillow, but used the exact same practices. This easy pattern is created completely from measuring, drawing dots at certain points, and then connecting them! You can easily transfer this tutorial to a wall, rug, or any place you’d like a little kilim pattern. All you would have to do is adjust the measurements accordingly. Check out the simple step-by-step tutorial here! *** Make sure you subscribe to posts (by clicking below), so that you don’t miss any of this new project! The Buffalo Bungalow is going to be good!
