UncategorizedDesign Inspiration from Sweet Thing June 3, 2013Happy Monday, y’all! I came across a home recently that stopped me in my tracks. It’s not often that you see a home and think, “Yep, I’d live in it exactly like that,” but that’s the feeling I got from this beauty. The home belongs to Jessie Webster of the blog Sweet Thing. It has the perfect balance of rustic/country and some mod for my taste. Since I found these, I’ve poured back over them again and again thinking of our own home. A lot of these ideas I’ve had for our home, but love seeing them come all together in hers in a whole new way. For example, I’m loving the modern chairs, farmhouse table, huge pendant light, and statement rug. I’m planning a very similar feel for our dining room. This was the first room of hers that grabbed my attention. The living room is gorgeous too. Her gray couch is making me seriously consider gray again for ours. I love how it blends and mixes in this room. I really, really love how she’s mixed old and rustic with modern and new. Modern chairs, Kantha blanket, Kilim pillows… Old, rusty suitcase with modern artwork. Stainless industrial counter tops with an old, lovely painting. Gorgeous, old fabrics and rugs with minimal artwork in the bedroom. Crisp white walls with old rustic artwork and antlers. Antlers, modern light fixture, Kilim. I’m in serious love with your home, Miss Jessie.
