UncategorizedDay 4: 31 Days of Finishing Rooms October 4, 2011 I had some problems deciding how to finish the pillows in the living room. I showed you the zebra pillows yesterday and I’ve been really happy with how they turned out. But, with the Sandicci Gray, I was stumped. The main reason is that I love the fabric so much that I wanted a million pillows out of it! But of course, eight or nine pillows out of one fabric piled onto the couch might not look so hot 🙂 Then, I saw this image and inspiration struck. I love so much about this living room (I’m not sure where it’s from originally, but I found it here). What I love most, though, is that pillow. I mean, what can you say about that? It’s so unique and really makes a statement. I tend to go for things that are unique and you don’t see every day, but that aren’t too far out there. Plus, this huge pillow allowed me to simplify the look of the couch while still making a big statement with this fabric that I love so much. So, here’s what I came up with… I love how much of this great fabric I was able to use by making it this way instead of traditional square pillows. I just decided about how big I wanted it to be, sewed the pillow cover with the help of my sweet mama, and stuffed with poly-fil. I’m not sure I could find a pillow in this large, custom size anywhere near my budget. I also love how it looks with the gray lamps. I’ll have a brand new media cabinet to share with you guys tomorrow! Ooooh…I’m so excited. Come back and see me!
