EntertainingSimple & Fresh Christmas Place Setting October 31, 2014 This week, I’m sharing a simple and fresh place setting that can easily be tweaked for different seasons! I love finding versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched for different seasons and this place setting is so simple, but gives me a fresh take on traditional holiday. For placemats, I chose a $2 rag rug from a local Dollar Store. I love that it has red and green, but not in a completely traditional sense. I love the woven texture and fringe trim. Plus, these are washable, so you can just toss them in the washer and good as new! I used this marble West Elm platter from last season as a charger. I love how it ties in the placemat, but brings in a little pattern and color. For the napkins, I wanted simple and natural. I took these grapevine napkin rings from Hobby Lobby. I love the texture they add. I stuck a cinnamon stick, feather, and some rosemary sprigs through the napkin ring. I love mixing vintage glassware. They bring a little soul to a table. I found these at thrift stores and yard sales and love the mix of color and metallic. Make sure you check out the other Christmas projects this week!
