Home DecorSheets for the Master Bedroom November 17, 2015This is a sponsored post by Frette. All opinions and wording are 100% my own. He’s always had a thing for nice sheets. Whenever I would talk about buying something a little more expensive because it would be made better and last longer, he’d laugh. My husband is the most frugal man and for the most part, cheaper is always better, but not when it comes to sheets. I can think of several occasions when we were looking at sheets and he would ask, “Are they Egyptian Cotton?” Umm…really? That just came out of your mouth? I never understood this need for “nice sheets.” I don’t want to sleep on cardboard, but for me, I’d much rather spend money on the pretty things. That’s just how I’m wired: form over function. I’m trying to work on that because I realize function is very important, but my dreamer nature gravitates toward the pretty. One of his musts for this new bedroom was nice and comfortable sheets. I gave in and accepted the “Whatever makes him happy” mantra. But when this pretty package from Frette arrived, I started to change my tune. Who cares if they’re comfortable, but they come in a pretty package! All wrapped in tissue paper, tied with a pretty bow. Those are my kind of sheets. But when I pulled them out of the packaging, I started to get what Chris has been screaming about. We chose the Agata Sheet Set from Frette’s Hotel Classics Collection and friends, they were the softest sheets I’ve ever touched. I always choose plain white sheets because they go with anything. And there’s something luxurious and cozy to me about climbing into an all-white, fluffy and soft bed. But Frette does have different color options at all different price points. They’re cotton sateen jacquard and have a subtle texture, which makes me happy. White and texture is always high on my list. One little tip, make sure you follow the care instructions online. You can really alter the softness and finish of sheets by washing them incorrectly…I’ve learned this the hard way! We’re a long way from “finishing” this room and by finishing, I mean adding a bed/headboard, a light fixture (we currently have just an electrical box…super fancy), etc. I’ve been enjoying just styling it for now and enjoying it! But these sheets are inspiring me to create a luxurious little haven in here for us. I guess nice sheets will do that to ya. Honey, I finally get it.

Lindsay says November 18, 2015 at 8:32 am Thanks, Kelly! It’s from Rug and Home and it’s for the entry. I’ll be posting about it soon. I get so many questions about my rugs that are eBay and I’ve FINALLY found a source that sells kilim and Persians at some reasonable prices! Reply

Lindsay says November 18, 2015 at 8:31 am Cassie, it’s TARGET!!! I wish it was bigger like an actual “bed” blanket, but it works 🙂 Reply
Anita says November 19, 2015 at 8:29 am Funny, because my husband notices sheets also! Those look wonderful! The kilim, though, really caught my eye. Love that pattern and the colors. I recently found a couple of excellent sources in Turkey and one in Canada for affordable kilims and have gone a little crazy. I’ve always loved the tribal and geometric patterns. Love yours!! Reply
