UncategorizedRosie’s Nursery Sneak Peek January 15, 2015I haven’t talked about Rosie’s nursery in awhile around here! The holidays kind of distracted me and I’ve been waiting for a lot of the items I sourced to finally come in so I can put it all together! We’re making major progress now and I am so in love with it. It is my favorite room in our house. I’ve been sitting in there every morning reading, journaling, and just enjoying. It’s already a special place. To see my original nursery plan and some items I sourced for it, click here. As a reminder, this was my color scheme and plan all inspired by this vintage painting. But then I came across a fabric that changed it all. I came across this fabric from Online Fabric Store back in November and fell in love. It’s called HGTV Garden Odyssey Fog Fabric and I knew that it had to be in Rosie’s nursery. It pulls elements from my original plan and color scheme, but does take some of it in a slightly different direction. I immediately knew how I wanted to use it. Y’all know I love some statement curtains and these are my favorite ever. They have completely made this nursery design for me! I love how the color of my Handpainted Watercolor Kilim Wall shows up in them. And they’ve still got my beloved peach! Navy still is making a grand appearance and of course, a little gold. And mint and shades of green are working great with the new design, like I’d originally pictured! I’m bringing in a lot of texture and mixed styles (surprise, surprise!) in this design. Some fur and a metallic cowhide… This two-tone mid-century crib has me singing happy tunes! ‘ And some metallic and rustic… I cannot wait to share the official reveal really soon! I’m still waiting on a few things to come in: artwork, the light fixture, and a few accessories. Then, I can actually hang some things on the walls, accessorize, and finish her up! More to come on sweet Rosie’s nursery very soon, friends!

Julia at Home on 129 Acres says January 15, 2015 at 9:18 pm I love how fearless you are with pattern. I never would have thought of using a big floral like that in such a dominant spot like the curtains. I’m thinking I need to branch out a little bit. Some of my rooms could use some more personality. Rosie’s room is going to be a beautiful reflection of your open approach to decorating and life. Reply
