RenovationsOur Painted Kitchen and Dining Room July 14, 2017Okay, y’all, who’s up for a little kitchen and dining progress today? It’s come a long way since the last time I shared it a few weeks ago! It amazes how much this space has transformed since we started. You can check out the befores here if you missed them, but let’s refresh where we started. And you can check out Progress Round 1 here and Progress Round 2 here. And if you missed the kitchen design plans, check them out here, so y’all can picture this space with me. Okay, now let’s dive in to how it’s looking today! I can’t get over the progress in these spaces. The banquette still needs finishing, but I love seeing it all come together. The shiplap wrapped peninsula and banquette is my favorite detail in here. And I love the thick Revere Pewter window trim! And speaking of big windows with painted trim, this view in the kitchen has me all excited. The white shiplap, wood, brass faucet, painted window trim, and farmhouse sink…ooh I love it! The countertops were installed and I’m in love with them! I can’t wait to see the patterned tile panel here above the stove. It’s going to look amazing framed by the wood and then with the Revere Pewter trim! Can’t y’all just picture it? There’s still plenty to do to make this a functional kitchen for us. The appliances are being delivered this Saturday, so it’ll be functional for us by move-in day! Finishing up all of the details in here will be the first thing we tackle after we move in. We’ll get the cabinet doors on and finished (I’ll share more about our decision on cabinets in a future post). We’ll have that wall tiled, put in lights, and built the hood. I think I’m most excited about this space than any in this house! I can just picture it in my mind and it’s exactly the country collected goodness I crave! And I am so thankful I decided to go for the Revere Pewter trim instead of white. It makes this space feel so different than the other white houses we’ve done. And y’all, we move in TOMORROW. I cannot wait to get in this space, settle in, and start finishing up these spaces for us. I’m dying to see it all take shape. And now the fun part really begins! *** Thatβs been The White Buffalo motto for the last three years and is still what Iβm striving to do each day in our home and with our family. Yes, that often means tablescapes, inspiring interiors, and fun before and after renos. But it also means family. Faith. Joy. Struggles. Laughter. Health. You’ll find a little bit of all of that here as I share how we’re choosing to live with both style and purpose. A huge part of that is our journey toward a more natural life that’s focused on enjoying each and every moment together. A huge thanks to my main blog sponsor that makes this dream of mine possible:

Silvia Loya says July 14, 2017 at 4:39 pm Lindsay, things are moving so quickly for you folks. Hope you get to enjoy your home for the holidays. Everything looks so good. You got yourself a terrific handyman. It would take my husbands days to take on any task involving home fixtures. Good luck and blessings in your new home. Silvia Loya Reply
