UncategorizedOur Entryway April 4, 2013When we first brought this new house, the view inside the front door was not very exciting. Tight closed off room with nothing, but a fireplace. But oh the potential I saw! I remembered seeing this image on Pinterest. This combined with the major need for storage in this house inspired an idea for our entry. We took the blank wall to the right of our front door and did this. And now, it looks like this: Two closets! What storage! The first right inside the door will serve as a coat closet and the second one will be shelves for all of my home decor and some seasonal stuff. So excited about that one! In between the two, we’ll be sitting this barn desk that Chris built for me a few Christmases ago. We built the closets so that the desk will fit right in between fairly tight to give it somewhat of a built-in look. It’ll serve as a family computer area. I’m loving the progress!

Lindsay says April 8, 2013 at 11:14 am Hi Christine! The doors are from a local builder supply store called Pittman supply. They were $25! These doors run for somewhere between $125-$200 at Lowe’s depending on size. Reply
Rosemary says April 4, 2013 at 8:49 pm I LOVE the red closets… Sarah Richardson is a genius! I am in love with the farmhouse this is from. The Lettered Cottage did something very similar in the guest room of the house they just sold. Someday I would love to do this! Reply
