UncategorizedOur Dining Nook July 19, 2013I called it a nook because that’s exactly what it is…not a dining room. It’s tiny, but I like it. If you remember our floor plan, the dining area is adjacent to the living room. Or behind the living room, depending on how you look at it. This is definitely not a “finished” room reveal, but we’ve got a table and chairs to eat at now. So technically, we can dine there. But until today, it didn’t really have much style. It still isn’t at all how I picture it in the end. Although I love these pieces, the rugs and chairs will probably change and there’s art waiting to be hung. But I was inspired by my Bohemian Modern posts this week and needed to style up an area of the house. This was the easiest to start with. I used the Overstock Tabouret chairs that I originally got for the patio. Since we don’t have a patio yet, they’re holding their spot here in the dining room. I actually like them with the table, though, so we’ll see if they stay. At the head of the table, I grabbed this mid-century side chair that I bought for $15 recently. I didn’t have a place in mind for it, but couldn’t refuse the deal. For a little boho feel, I added an IKEA sheepskin and this yard sale woven pillow. It might be my favorite pillow that I own. I grabbed two rugs that I had sitting around waiting for a spot and layered them underneath. And beside the table, we set up the mid-century hutch I told y’all about recently. I’ve already got it stocked and set up. Now, we just need to entertain! For now, it’s giving me that boho feel I love! Happy Friday, y’all! Hope you have a fabulous weekend.

It’s so interesting…a good interesting and not the interesting you say instead of “nope…not my style”. Just clarifying. Love it! Reply
