UncategorizedLet’s Lounge – Antique Brass Sign March 6, 2014 When I first posted about our front sitting room, I asked for suggestions on what to call the room. Kari from The Sunset Lane had a fabulous idea that I immediately loved. We quickly dubbed this room “The Lounge.” It just felt right for this cozy sitting area right inside our front door. So, when Kari shared this antique brass “lounge” sign, I was in love. This antique brass plaque came from this fabulous antique shop on Etsy, Vintage Flea Finds. The shop owner, Jill, is so nice and I loved dealing with her. But I really connected with her and her love of hunting down objects with history. I wonder about this lovely little sign’s story. Jill said she’s so passionate about finding and repurposing objects and giving things new life. This sign needed new life in our Lounge. I have it resting on one of the window sills that are on either side of the fireplace. Tiny details like this are my favorite. They give a room its soul and history, I think. It may be tiny, but each time I walk by, it makes me smile. The tiniest little details really can make a room feel complete to me. Thank you Jill for sharing this Lounge sign with me! And thank you, Kari, for sending it my way. My Lounge is forever grateful! Make sure you go check out Jill’s awesome shop. She has some really beautiful things and is great to work with.
