UncategorizedFringe Trim as Christmas Garland October 24, 2014\ I can’t decide if this Countdown to Christmas gets me super excited that Christmas is coming or makes me panic a little realizing time is flying! I love Christmas and every year it feels like it’ll never come. And then you wake up and it’s Christmas Eve and I’m dying to backpedal and enjoy the season more. Regardless, we decorate a little early in this house and it’s fun to get inspired early! This week, I have something super easy to share, but it’s something I am so excited about! If you remember from my spring mantel, I love fringe trim. It’s no surprise with my little hippie bohemian side and after I discovered it last year, I’m dying to use it in any way I can. I actually had a different Christmas project in mind for today, but then I saw this trim sitting in my craft closet and inspiration struck. I love, like LOVE, projects that are my style, require little crafting skills, and take one minute. I’m not even going to call this a project! It’s styling. I think all Christmas trees should have a garland. Last year, I DIYed mine out of colored wood beads and cinnamon sticks. You can read about it here. When I saw this trim, it hit me. Super easy garland, but major high impact! It creates such a pretty drape. I love the idea of using different colors. Ooh, wouldn’t ombre be pretty? A different shade of blue getting darker as you went further down the tree? I may just have to try that when I actually decorate this year. Plain white is awfully pretty, though, against that green! Amazon has a great selection of fringe trims. Here are a few of my favorite colors: white | green | navy | red | hot pink | gold My mind is going crazy with the possibilities! I think you’ll be seeing this again on my actual tree this year! Dominique Paolini says October 24, 2014 at 8:37 am I am so glad I am not the only one thinking about Christmas already. Admittedly, I’ve already bought a dozen blown glass ornaments, strung 5 feet of ornament garland, and scouted out all of my favorite’s stores that already have out their holiday goodies. Reply

Arya Smith says July 17, 2018 at 12:25 am I love that you mentioned that we could try using fringes that goes darker as it goes down the tree. I will be trying this when the Christmas season starts. My husband has been loving the various themes that I am doing with our Christmas tree every tree, but I have never tried using Chainette fringes. With this in mind, I will be buying lots of these ones for these months. Thanks! Reply
