One of my favorite things about The Buffalo Bungalow is the front porch. I’ve always dreamed of having one and sitting out there enjoying cool fall evenings. It seems fitting that the first season I decorate and use the porch for is fall.
When we first bought this house, it had a tiny screened in front porch.
We extended the porch and removed the screens.
Though the porch is small, I knew a sweet little sitting area would fit perfectly. As I said in my exterior plans, I knew I was going with a dark green siding. I fell in love with the Bethany 6-pc Deep Seating Set from AE Outdoor. I love the modern and unique feel of the ratan-style weaving and I loved how this color would pop against a dark siding.
More than anything, I loved how practical this set is. I don’t want an outdoor set I have to baby and these rust-proof aluminum frames and thick outdoor sunbrella fabric on all the cushions makes it super durable.
After getting this set in, I fell in love. The frames and cushions are such good quality and the style of it was perfect. I love the two side chairs and the ottomans that double as seating, but not all of this would fit on our tiny front porch. I have fun plans for the rest of the set that I’ll share later this fall, though!
The blue and green cushions are awesome quality and I love the bright pop of color, especially for summer. I love that they will send you fabric swatches free of charge to make sure the colors are right for you and your space!
While I do love me some blue and green, after I found the berry fringe kimono, I knew it was my color inspiration for this fall porch.
The Kantha blanket has a berry base and I pulled other colors like the blues from it. I layered on berry, gold, and lots of texture.
And pumpkins. What fall porch doesn’t have colorful pumpkins?
Just as I pictured, I love the color of the set with our board and batten siding.
I paired the love seat with two small-frame plastic armchairs and a Moroccan wood and gold coffee table. I love how the style mixes.
This is one of the most comfortable seats in the house now.
Each evening this fall, you’ll find me here. A cup of hot tea in hand and my feet kicked up on this pretty coffee table relaxing.
A big thanks to AE Outdoor for making my front porch dreams finally come true! Check out their blog for more outdoor living ideas.
Up tomorrow, I’m showing step by step how I layered my style into this porch reveal, as well as all of the additional sources.

Although we have a large deck on the back of our home we have just this year started enjoying our small front porch. We use it mostly in the evenings after dinner. Your porch is lovely and I know you will enjoy it very much.
That’s exactly how I see us using it Sherry! Tea after dinner 🙂
It’s just lovely! And, it proves that you do not need a giant space to make your porch what you desire!
So true, Shar! I was just so happy to have one that I didn’t really think about the space constraints until later, but we made it work!
OMG Lindsay, this is so perfect!!! Love every single detail! I know you will enjoy it during the cooler months! xox
Thanks so much, Claire! I’m so happy we have it ready to go for this season!
It looks so comfortable and so perfect on your porch!!! Enjoy your time out here! 🙂
Thanks Amber!
Ohy that’s a nice outdoor set! Love it! And the price isn’t bad at all. Too bad all my money is going towards a bathroom reno. Maybe another time!
A bathroom reno sure is exciting though 🙂
The porch looks so pretty and cozy perfect place to relax on fall evenings
Thanks so much, Katrina!
i love it — you’ve totally inspired me to start focusing on our front porch while the interior of our house is a constant reno project. i’ve decided to put a wooden table out there and am concerned about it becoming weathered. i also love love love your rug and it would look great with the pillows on my porch swing, but with these summer storms we’ve been having in south carolina i worry about it getting soaked. do you have that problem/fear? all the outdoor rugs i look up seem super expensive to boot.
Kristin, that’s a great point! I don’t worry about stuff as much with the covered roof, but know some rain or something might blow in. This rug was on sale for $30, so if it only lasts a year or two, I’m okay with that 😉
Love the set you picked out and can I just say that berry lipstick and top is STUNNING on you! that is your color girl! xo
