Styling a Fall Beverage Station

So much of throwing a simple fall dinner party is having self-serve stations already set up.  Then your guests can serve themselves and you don’t have to worry about it!

One of my favorite parts of our kitchen is this coffee and baking station.  I love the open shelving above so that there’s triple the serving room for guests.

My goal with this to provide a couple of options for guests without it being a complete full-service coffee bar.

I think the tendency can be to offer tons of options or just plain coffee.  Here, I offered three main options: coffee, chilled apple cider (so that you can sit it out and not worry about it), and hot tea.

In the crate, I have different tea options and coffee options.  By providing a few toppings, it makes the drinks feel “fancy” to guests, but it’s still really simple for you.

I’ve got whipped cream, cinnamon, and cinnamon sticks.

It’s amazing how pretty bowls and brass serveware can really amp up your buffet!

As you’re setting it up, make sure that you really think about how guests will use this.  There needed to be a stir spoon and of course, we need a pretty little resting spot for it.  There may be spills, so while this pretty floral towel does so much for the look of our drink station, it’s also really practical.

Look around your house for creative serving options.  I love my old sugar mold that I got at a yard sale and it is perfect for our little handheld coffee frother and cinnamon sticks.

I used our shelves to provide a variety of cup options and some fall decor.

Drinking even water out of a pretty cup feels fun and a bit elevated, so provide some pretty and different options for your guests to choose from.

All of these are vintage cups found at thrift or antique stores.  I LOVE using vintage serving pieces and glassware.  Plus, you can find some great options for really cheap!

And last of all, to really create a pretty station, think about an overall color scheme and make sure you have little examples of it throughout.

I have the copper tea kettle that ties in with the copper strainer on the top shelf.  The gold of the serving bowls and silverware ties in the gold vintage teacups and glasses on the first shelf.  And the blue in my floral towel really pulls in the blue of the spoon rest.
