UncategorizedOur Entire House Source List October 15, 2014Well, that is a daunting title, but I’m going to do my best. I realized based on recent questions that, though I have the sources for each room in the original post for that room reveal, it’s really difficult to find that if you’re just finding the blog! So, I’ve decided to put all sources, paint colors, etc. in one post that I will continue to update over time as things grow and change. I wanted to post this since I’ve gotten sooooo many source questions lately. I know a lot of you around here are new and haven’t seen original posts and sources on these. But after today, you’ll find it always on my sidebar linked from this button and I’ll continually update it with source information. So, whenever you have a question, click away and hopefully, the answer will be there! First up, some basics. Every single wall in our house is painted my favorite shade of white, Benjamin Moore’s White Dove. You can read about why I love this color here. Our floors are stained Minwax Dark Walnut and we used a water-based finish. Find out whether or not we’d make those choices again by reading our review. Here it is, room by room. Merry says October 15, 2014 at 1:10 pm Your house is one of my faves! It’s bright and has the perfect blend of rustic, color, and pattern. I secretly wish I could paint all my base and casing white and leave some of the built-ins wood stained. My house will be 100 next year so I don’t want to be the one to change anything that is original to the house. A girl can dream… Reply

Amber says October 17, 2014 at 7:22 pm Thanks for putting this together, Lindsay! Your house is such a perfect combination of styles!! PS I LOVE La Fonda Mirage….:) Reply
Kristina says October 20, 2014 at 4:14 pm I noticed you describe each room with different styles, like “Boho Mid-Century Living Room” and “White Country Kitchen” and “Country Rustic Dining Room.” Did you set out wanting to design each room with that certain feel, or did you approach them all the same way and certain styles became more important in the process? This would be so interesting to know for those of us who have eclectic styles too. And of course, as always, it all looks fab. Reply
Karisa | Petite Modern Life says October 23, 2014 at 1:34 pm This is gorgeous, thanks for sharing all the details! I love your theme of finding awesome things at the thrift store and how well you’ve used white paint. We painted our ‘new’ house all white, but now I’m trying to see how I can vary the textures on the walls to make it more interesting. I think you guys have done a great job with that! ~cheers! Reply

Ashleigh says February 16, 2015 at 12:33 pm Hi! I love your home…. especially the perfect extreior renovation! I am looking to replace my front door in the next few weeks. Would you happen to know the name/style#/name of the door you chose? Also, did you install yourself or should I hire a professional? Thanks! Reply
Lindsay says February 17, 2015 at 1:35 pm Hi Ashleigh! It’s just a 12-lite basic wooden door from Home Depot and we did install it ourselves! I think it totally depends on your experience and what you’re comfortable with, but it is simple to hang, granted that falls under my husband’s expertise 🙂 Reply
Tirza says September 6, 2015 at 5:24 pm Love your house! Discovered you through BHG BUT I want that front door! I’m having no luck finding it on the Home Depot website. Do you have more info? Brand name? Link? Please help! Reply
Lindsay says September 8, 2015 at 10:03 pm Hi Tirza! I’m sorry, I don’t. I went into my local Home Depot to the door department and they ordered it for me. I asked for a 12-light wooden door and this was the only one. Sadly, I haven’t been able to find it online either since! I’ve gotten so many questions about it. I’m so sorry! If you go in to the store, though, that would work because we just ordered the exact same one for our new house from the store. I’m not sure if everything isn’t listed online or what! Reply
