UncategorizedDIY Joy Stamped Napkins October 17, 2014 Yes, I know it’s not Halloween yet. But blogging has a way of making you prepare and do things a little earlier than normal. When I got asked to participate in this Countdown to Christmas series, I was excited to join in with these talented ladies! So, here’s the premise. Every Friday, we each will share a Christmas project or idea. You’ll have plenty of time to be inspired and get your Christmas creativity on! For my project, I created these DIY Joy Stamped Napkins. They are so simple and add so much Christmas cheer to your holiday table! Materials: Acrylic Paint Sponge brush – this works better than a usual brush Angel Wings stamp (Hobby Lobby) Alphabet Stamps (Hobby Lobby) Red Ticking Stripe Napkins (fabric from Hobby Lobby) Textile Medium – allows paint to be still permanent, but soft Steps: 1.) Mix paint with textile medium. 2.) Get a small amount of paint and medium on sponge brush. Wipe any excess on a paper towel. 3.) Sponge paint lightly onto stamp (excess won’t create a good shape on fabric). 4.) Stamp onto fabric. Do not press down too hard or you will get excess around the desired shape. Plus, I love the “worn” look so getting a slightly faded shape looks good in my book. I love how they spice up some plain napkins and bring in a bit of a fresh spin on Christmas. This pretty Christmas tablescape was photographed at my mom and dad’s house. I always tell them they have the perfect cozy Christmas house.
