UncategorizedCheck Out Home Depot Style Challenge! April 21, 2014 Spring Break did me good, y’all. And I’ve got some fun stuff to come back to! Home Depot officially started sharing the patio challenge posts last week. I spent this morning catching up on them so far and there is so much inspiration there! Above you can see another little sneak peek of mine. Mine will officially be revealed this coming Friday and I am so excited! I can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on there. I’ve hated working on so much with Home Depot and CWTS behind the scenes and not being able to share it immediately, but an onslaught of tutorials and pretty pictures is coming, I promise! You can see the patios they’ve released so far here. But I had to share a few favorites here. Make sure you click over to their blogs and the Home Depot reveal to get the full post with tons of gorgeous detail shots. This is just a little teaser! Eileen from A Creative Day is has been one of my favorite girls for a while. We share so much in the style category and I just love her blog. I knew her patio would be good, but it was even better than I expected! So much color and personality! And have you heard she’s having twins? Her house is about to be filled with some seriously stylish little people. I found Lesley Graham’s blog through this challenge and am so thankful I did! She and her husband just finished renovating their home and you guys, it is unbelievable. Her kitchen is to die for! Her patio is packed with some serious style inspiration too. I have LOVED Joni from Lay Baby Lay’s style for ages. Even though I don’t have a need for a nursery design yet, I’ve been pinning her boards for years because they’re just that good! Someone asked me last year if I was pregnant. I quickly replied no and in my head, I’m thinking, “Do I look pregnant???” Then they replied, “Then why do you pin so many nursery boards?” And I laughed and said, “Because Joni Lay is freaking amazing!” Not sure they understood, but it’s true, y’all. Her patio blew me away! I love the bit of boho style mixed in with lots of color. Gorgeousness! And last favorite for today is the boho goddess herself, Justina Blakeney. I’m so inspired by her use of texture, pattern, and color: the cornerstone of good bohemian design. Make sure you go check out all of the other amazing patio reveals here! I’m so honored to be designing alongside such talent! And don’t forget that my Eclectic Bohemian Backyard goes live this Friday! But who are we kidding? I’ll remind you! I’ll be posting our full master bedroom reveal in the morning and then lots of fun tutorials will follow that! I get excited just thinking about it: faux marble waterfall island desk, tie-dye curtains, basket light fixture, kilim wall, wood round round headboard, bowl and pipe lights…and that’s not even all of them y’all! You’ve asked for the tutorials and they’re on their way starting this week! Thank you for your patience in waiting for the contest to end so we could have a huge tutorial lovefest! *** A quick blog design update: And of course in the midst of this recent craziness, I decided that gutting and redoing rooms wasn’t enough. I decided to gut and redo my entire blog! I really wanted it done before I go full-time in June and really start amping things up, but didn’t realize that I’d be doing CWTS when we started it. I know some things need tweaking and I appreciate your concerned comments and e-mails. Do not worry, we are getting to it all and thanks for your patience! We still have some finishing touches to take care of and as some of you e-mailed about, we are working on the navigation bar at the top for sure! Really soon, there’ll be lovely drop-down menus that take you to all kinds of organized content. It’s all just taking a bit longer than we anticipated, but a new and improved White Buffalo is on its way! Check back tomorrow for our full master bedroom redo!
