Home DecorBSHT Summer Home Tour 2016 June 6, 2016 Today kicks off the summer edition of Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours! I started this home tour series nearly three years ago and it gets better every time. There’s always so much inspiration from these talented bloggers as they open up their homes and invite us in. This week, 39 bloggers are sharing their summer style and I’m so excited to be kicking us off! If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Lindsay, wife to Chris and mama to Rosie and fur baby Gracie. We’re renovators at heart and love taking something old and worn out and restoring it to its original charm, with our eclectic spin of course. We’re currently renovating our third house, The Buffalo Bungalow, and you can read more about it here. We’re making great progress on this house, though there are still a lot of projects left. But we’re enjoying the ride and I had a blast adding in a little summer style. Nothing says summer to me like some green plants and splashes of color. I have a lot I still want to do on our front porch like paint the new railings and add some other decor and details, but adding some colorful textiles and a few plants made it feel so summer ready! I wrapped the seat cushions in this $7 Chindi rug from At Home. This orange, round throw is a simple way to add some personality and pattern out here (found at Home Goods). You had me at tassels! Add a little resting spot for a fruity drink and you’re all set! I still have a lot of details to finish in the living room, but I’m loving the punches of my favorite summer blue and some plants. A simple mantel never made me so happy! I took this ombre basket I got last year at Michael’s and tucked a vase inside filled with clippings from a tree out back. I love doing this in the summer! If you change out the water, they last forever. The blue abstracts that I painted paired with this vintage landscape are my perfect mix of style. This room is really starting to feel like me. I love how the color in my Kantha blanket brightens up the dark sofa and plays off the vintage rug. This rug was the first thing I bought for this house and it’s still my favorite! The mix of styles in here are making me smile. Turn on your JavaScript to view content I had summer on the brain when I finished our last two room reveals. Our playroom/office is color, sun, and plant filled! We are loving this room so much! It’s the perfect colorful, girly haven for me and my girl. Turn on your JavaScript to view content You can check out the office/playroom here. Our master bedroom that I revealed a few weeks ago just screams summer to me. The blue wildflower wallpaper, the colorful rug, the plants….it’s my happy place. You can see the full room reveal here. Sweet little Rosie’s room is one of the most colorful, cheerful spots in the house. Can you tell I love floral? Turn on your JavaScript to view content There’s a little more to do in here, but it’s a happy place for our little girl! You can see her full room tour here. This summer is going to be filled with finishing rooms and reveals! First up on the list is the backyard shed we’re converting into a screened porch. You can see the plans here and then the progress here. We’ve been working furiously on this space and it’ll be revealed this Friday! We put the last coat of paint on last night and pulled in some of the furniture to see how it’s going to look and I snapped these few photos. It’s going to be good, y’all. I still have a ton of styling and tweaking to do this week, but here’s a little sneak peek of where we’re headed. Thanks for stopping in to check out our summer home! Make sure you move on to the next stop on today’s tour, Cuckoo 4 Design. I love Julia’s home and style! *Affiliate links used for your shopping convenience.
