Faith & FamilyBreaking Down “The Miracle Morning” March 11, 2019 Oh the magic of the morning! Friends, thank you so much for your encouragement on my last posts. I love hearing how this is resonating with so many of you and that many of you are on your own journeys to become morning people. Let’s encourage each other along the way! As I talked about in my last post, “The Miracle Morning” book was huge in jump-starting this journey for me and it’s given me a plan to put in place for my mornings. The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8AM) I cannot recommend it enough! I put together a video breaking down this book and how I’m incorporating its’ principles into my routine. It’s a game changer for me. This video ran a little long because there’s so much to say! So put it on like a podcast while you’re cooking dinner or driving around and I hope it helps you see your mornings in a new light and see their power to determine your day! I’m seeing this firsthand and it’s blowing my mind. My goal for life really, but especially this habit-forming process I’m tackling, is progress over perfection. We’re never going to be perfect no matter what we do, so putting those expectations on ourselves just sets us up for failure! But I’m prioritizing these habits as much as I can because every time I don’t, I feel the negative impact. Just last night, I didn’t sleep well at all. So I snoozed the alarm for an hour and the kids were up earlier than usual. I was stressed and impatient and here, three hours later as I’m typing this post, I’m still trying to pray for peace, calm myself down, and embrace joy having not had my quiet and intentional start to the day. It’s going to happen some days. Some will be harder than others, but days like today remind me why this habit is so so needed for me and worth prioritizing whenever I can. So, when you have a minute take a listen at the video below for my take on this book and what I’m trying to make my morning habit as a result. As he says in the book, “It’s not about waking up earlier. It’s about waking up better.”
