Faith & FamilyBack to School Guide August 3, 2016 Around late July every year, I start to feel the itch…that craving for routine. After going to school my whole life and then teaching for three years before leaving to blog and be home with Rosie, going back to school is a very familiar yearly event. Even though no one in our household is going back to school this fall, I still get excited when I see all of the school supplies lined up on aisles at Target. Even though it’ll be a few years before Rosie is school age, when Amber from Restless Arrow asked me to join in on her Back-to-School Guide series this week, I jumped at it. There are few things I love more than looking for things for my babe, whether it be sweet little clothes or fun learning tools. If you’re headed here from my friend Beth over at DesignPost Interiors, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I first thought back to my back-to-school traditions growing up. We always got to go shopping and pick out a special first day of school outfit and a new backpack. We’d have a back-to-school dinner as a family and then we took photos each year in our first day outfit as we were headed out the front door. Mom made a big deal of those milestones. I rounded up my favorite picks for Rosie’s first day of school outfit to share. 1. Heart Elbow Patch Sweater | 2. Blue Floral Bow | 3. Brown Romper | 4. Unicorn Necklace | 5. Silver Fringe Sandals | 6. Unicorn Backpack | 7. Personalized Horsey Water Bottle Oh my goodness. Heart elbow patches, sweet little unicorns…picturing my Rosie in this outfit with that sweet little backpack swung over her shoulder headed off to her first day of school about kills me, y’all. Can you handle the cuteness? I’ve been looking around for some cute and fun learning tools to use with Rosie and I came across some great ones! We have a little time each day where we do focused learning activities and I know these flashcards and books are perfect. A few are a little above her age right now, but I’m excited to add them as she’s ready. Turn on your JavaScript to view content The pictures in the Maps and 50 States Book blow me away!
