UncategorizedA Little Boy's Nursery: Smitten Design May 24, 2012Good morning, y’all! Like I said yesterday, I am so excited about this post. Have you met Ashley from Smitten Design? If you haven’t, you need to! I recently found her blog and it has quickly become one of my very favorites. I spent a lot of this past weekend going through all of her posts. She has such a great eye for style and design. And as of April 3rd, she also has a new little boy Reid. Here she is with her little man. What a sweet picture! While on her blog, I came across Reid’s nursery and it blew me away! I am always drawn to nurseries. I don’t have a need for one just yet, but there is just something special about a room for a baby to live and grow in. Normally, girl’s nurseries appeal to me more, but this little guy’s nursery is probably my favorite I’ve seen! Hang tight, guys. Ashley had a lot of pictures on her blog and they’re all so good, I had a hard time narrowing down. Before: After: Before: After: How cute are all of the details? Before: After: What a great idea – using a beautiful buffet as a changing table! Before: After: Ashley said her goal with this nursery was to create a space that was masculine and timeless, that way she can change out beds, but leave most of the details the same. What a great idea! I LOVE the white wood walls, the gingham curtains, and all of the dark wood. It feels like a great boyish, but stylish place. Here are a few more of my favorite details: This painting is one of my very favorite parts. It was her push present from her husband, Tony. Having just gotten Gracie, I can imagine what a sweet and meaningful gift a painting of your little dog would be! What a lovely room for Reid to grow up in. I hope you enjoyed seeing a glimpse of Ashley’s newest project. You can check out her full post here. To end on a thoughtful note, Ashley said her favorite part about being his mama was him falling asleep on her chest for his afternoon nap. What a sweet picture of motherhood 🙂 Thanks for allowing me to share this, Ashley!
